  • Working as the Training and Development Intern within HRC3 was a great experience. I was responsible for my own tasks and was also part of many different projects within the team. I had the opportunity to complete my own project whilst on placement that has contributed to my degree as a replacement of a dissertation.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Since undertaking in a placement year my work ethic, time management and confidence has grown. All of these aspects have proved to be very useful in the jump to final year. My manager taught me new concepts that proved to be extremely valuable within the workplace but I also learnt that theory and practice are two very different things.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • In the last few months of my placement the inspiring working conditions project was underway. Partition walls were removed to create an open plan office with hot desking. This created a better working atmosphere to allow for department collaborations. The department atmosphere made for enjoyable days especially when all team members were in the office.
