The Role
It was a great experience inbetween university work.
Seen as another member of staff - not just summer placement student.
Given weekly meetings, and various people available to talk to.
Generally had a good balance of work.
I had the responsibility of running my own project which was fairly important within the company.
Gained some important employability skills.
The Company
As expected for an accountancy office.
Very well organised - grad team did a great job.
A lot was invested in me - I was given lots of opportunities (and encouraged) to learn about different parts of the company. Members of team were always willing to talk through their jobs and work with me.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
There is a good chance of being offered a graduate job afterwards.
The Culture
Social scene was great! Summer students were all staying in the same accommodation which was fun, and allowed us to socialise more.
Accommodation was provided by Centrica so free! Living in London so socialising costs were fairly high, as expected.
We were never short of places to go, as it was a tube ride from central london.
Not many - there was a work football team.
