  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I was given a variety of interesting work to do, and had the opportunity to go on site visits and learn how to inspect properties for a valuation.

  • Everyone was extremely welcoming.

  • Everyone was very happy to help whenever I had questions.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had lots of work to do, with different people asking me to help, as well as my project but I would prefer to be kept busy so this was fine.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I had the opportunity to work on real projects, call agents, take measurements during inspections, carry out due diligence checks, compile comparable evidence and work on valuation reports.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I gained very useful skills during my placement, in particular due diligence checks and learning how to carry out an inspection for valuation. These skills will come in very useful next year during my university studies for coursework projects.

  • The right balance of a friendly, fun atmosphere and hard work.

  • My internship was organised seamlessly, and Hannah was extremely helpful in booking rooms, organising my parking permit and assisting with setting up meetings.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would love to work at the Guildford office but know that it is very full in terms of staff!

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Just the right amount.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I would imagine it would be expensive but luckily I was able to live at home.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • There are good pubs and restaurants in Guildford but not much in terms of nightclubs (not a major concern!)

  • The graduates were welcoming and invited me to events.
