    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Microsoft gives you an insane amount of autonomy- you can absolutely make the internship your own!

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt as if I was an equal member of my team. Anyone from senior employees to managers to interns can input into meetings and have their voices listened to.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • More than I ever expected! There are so many people who will mentor you or find you mentors, it's like an entire team is coming together to help you succeed.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • As busy as I wanted to be (very busy, in my case:) ). Nobody gives you a fixed workload, you take as much as you want and can in order to create your impact.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • There were some projects were I had to manage international teams to launch new services that involved a lot of money. The responsibility we can undertake is amazing.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I've learned more at Microsoft that I ever did in 14 years of education. Definitely a place to grow and have an impact.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • We're quite an international team so I was worried our humours wouldn't be compatible- never been more wrong! Always leave the office with a smile on my face.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Army-level logistics

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
