    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Brilliant experience, the right amount of work and experience involved!

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • LOVE everyone, they really care about the culture and people at Microsoft which is what convinced me to apply in the first place! They make you feel so welcome as an intern and really care about your ideas and put them forward.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Great support and guidance provided, regular 121's with my manager as well as some pool and table tennis sessions to ease out a day of hard work!

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • For me it would depend on the time of the year and specific days of the week were busier than others meetings wise. Overall it was nicely balanced between meetings, work to do and relaxing a bit.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I managed a survey with reached over half a million customers and partners across the UK...so a lot! But support was also provided wherever needed.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I've learnt the importance of really enjoying what you do, if it's hard you'll learn how to do it, just make sure you really love it.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Always very positive! We have music playing around and occasionally pizza as well!

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was well set up, but the intern does have to make the equal effort of organising themselves.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company really helps and supports interns, but the interns have to also make the equal amount of effort and really stand out!

    4/5

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Apart from the night outs! We did have lunch regularly and since a lot of us lived together and on the same road there was a strong bond between us!

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
