    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed my internship at Siemens plc, it provided me with an opportunity to learn and travel while earning money and improving my skills for future jobs/careers.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I feel that my colleagues value my knowledge in communications as they now feel comfortable enough to come directly to me and ask questions/advice on different communications topics.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My manager provided me with the upmost support and has always advocated for me within the company and our support function.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • As my internship continued, my calendar became busy as I was being given more responsibility and more people knew that I was available for communications support. There were periods of time that seemed extremely busy but I was never bored and it kept me on my toes.

    4/5

  • Towards the end of my placement, I'm being given increasing responsibility as I now need little to no support to complete most tasks.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The experience I've had during this internship has been invaluable to my studies and beyond. I now have experience putting degree theory into practice in a workplace and I have the experience in communications which is required for most positions in this area.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • My office has a perfectly balanced atmosphere as everyone is dedicated to working and doing their job but it's relaxed in terms of being able to have conversations with you colleagues and they were all very welcoming.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship application process was very well organised. When I began my internship, there was very little to no time for training which could have been better but I was given the opportunity to hit the ground running.
