  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Loved my placement, really is a great place to work and a very fulfilling job... downside is it's in Swindon ;)

  • All the praise in the world and the business users are consistently impressed by what I delivered.

  • Door always open policy.

  • Had its ups and downs. Usually very busy but there were periods in between projects that were a bit slow

  • You're not treated like an intern but more like a permanent addition to the team, had several of my own projects to do.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learned so much this year, from supply chain management etc. to the more technical things like ASP.NET, C# etc.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Always banter

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Couple of bumps with HR but they did a good job considering they take on 50+ interns every year.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They give you a lot of mandatory training but it's up to you if you want to seek out further sessions. I rang up the American developers (my counterparts) for help and training quite often, off my own back.

  • High I think, but the department I'm in is fast filling up.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, there are 52 or so of us this year, and 70 or so next year, and a thriving social scene.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Fairly cheap.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Not fantastic but there are a few clubs, bars etc.

  • A lot is sent round on the student email lists but I never really partook in many things
