Further, I was able to learn about a new industry as well as other companies under the Volvo Group, which I knew very little about before.
I really enjoyed the 12 months I spent at Volvo Financial Services, it was a great experience! I developed many new skills and improved my existing ones. I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year as a Paralegal Intern. I was able to gain lots of experience in an in-house role and also progress my skills with good feedback sessions from my manager. I felt included within the business, which helped to make the placement more enjoyable. Due to the pandemic I changed roles to assist the business, however this experience was not as enjoyable as the role I was meant to be doing.
My work placement has been a mixture of both good and bad experiences. Throughout the year I have had a very small workload and finding things to do to fulfil a working week was often a struggle. On the other hand, I have travelled a lot with my role and met lots of new people which had been an invaluable experience.

I really enjoyed my year away from uni in a different working environment such as Volvo Group in Warwick. It was great to both develop existing skills learnt in previous educations but also to learn new skills that could only have been developed through being in a workplace. Volvo provided many opportunities to grow as an individual and very much cares about each employee.

I enjoyed the placement throughout its duration. I was given projects as well as day to day tasks which kept the role interesting. I felt at times that I was given some projects which were insignificant however on the whole Volvo was a good place to start my career in finance.
I was treated really well, and the opportunities and tasks given were extremely beneficial to my career development. I developed not only my working skills but also personally. The time here I was treated like a real employee rather than just an intern and to that I am very grateful.
