I really enjoyed my placement year and it was a fantastic introduction and first step in my career path. Working in such a large business allows you to network and experience different jobs you knew little about before. This placement year allowed me to expand my capabilities and gain solid examples of competencies and project based work. I had plenty of personal development opportunities including external courses that were funded by the business. The level of responsibility I was given at an early stage was really exciting.
Overall it was a very enjoyable placement where I was provided with many opportunities outside of normal placement roles. Including working overnights away from home and even a 2 day trip to the Wolfsburg factory to experience the new products hitting the market over the next few years. However, be mindful that many other undergraduates did not have these same opportunities.
I have loved my year working for Volkswagen Group UK. It has provided so many opportunities to network and expose myself into a number of workstreams and areas of the business outside of my normal role. My team have been brilliant and I have loved going into the office everyday and having laughs with colleagues which I think I am going to miss the most. Even in the current odd time of COVID-19 I have kept in touch with all my team and enjoyed regular calls and quizzes.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement at VWG. It has given me an introduction on how such a large scale business operates and given me my first professional job experience. We had a lot of opportunities to explore our own departments and beyond, as well as attend different automotive events and come along to field visits. We were very much treated like a proper company employee and not just a placement student.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement year at VWG Group UK. It has allowed me to develop my soft skills during my day to day job and I have been give great levels of responsibility. I am lucky enough to have been in a fantastic team where I was also encouraged to explore in other areas of the business.
The Volkswagen Group UK provide an exciting and challenging working environment, allowing you to develop your skills while engaging with the future of the automotive industry. You will be a part of a well sized group of like minded undergraduates, with whom you will engage in special projects and tasks adding yet more value to the placement. This is something I particularly enjoyed during my placement.
It was a very enjoyable year. The workplace is a great environment, largely due to the staff and culture. This comes from the top management and stems throughout the organisation. There is a passion and community to Volkswagen Group, all with aligned visions. It gave me the opportunity to wok in an industry-leading business. In addition, there were good benefits, such as the company cars and bonus.
My year with Volkswagen Group thoroughly enjoyable to an extremely worthwhile experience. I had the opportunity to play a vital role within my team to aid the success of the business, as well as having plenty of opportunity for personal development.
I really enjoyed my year on placement at Volkswagen Group UK, the team I worked with most closely were extremely welcoming, easy to get along with and helped me to progress throughout the year. VW group as a whole is very supportive and provides a good amount of opportunities to further develop your skills and career.
I really enjoyed my placement year at Volkswagen Group UK in the Finance department. It was a fantastic opportunity in which I managed to work with people of high importance and do things I never thought I would. The people that worked there made it what it was, with their helpfulness and being so down to earth.
I really enjoyed working here during my placement, I had lots of varied work and a lot of core responsibility too. As there were 39 placement students and a few grads too this meant the social aspect of things were good and it was easy to make friends outside of your team. The role was challenging, but the good kind and the culture there was really good, with regular 'brand updates' and things to make you feel valued.
It was a very valuable experience full of enriching opportunities that help you grow both professionally and personally. The social side of it is also amazing, given that Volkswagen Group has a big cohort of Undergraduates. In my case there were around 40-50 students in the business, which made the experience even more enjoyable!
I enjoyed working for Volkswagen Group UK (VWG), there were many opportunities across the organisation and lots of other things to get involved in such as charity involvement. It was a great scheme and well organised, with many benefits.
Working at Volkswagen Group UK was an amazing opportunity and I enjoyed my time here very much. You were given so much responsibility which made each day much more enjoyable. You were required to take charge on projects and get involved as a full time team member would, your opinion was just as valued as theirs.
I enjoyed my placement year to a great extent. I had the opportunity to take part in a range of extra training courses which has really supported me in my further development. I enjoyed working with great colleagues who were all passionate about achieving the best possible service we could for our employees.
The work assigned to me took me out of my comfort zone and always provided challenges that allowed me to quickly learn and develop new skills and broaden my business acumen. In a very dynamic team, work was required to be accurate and delivered in a timely manner which enhanced my attention to detail.
I enjoyed every second of my placement. Everyone throughout the entire company is friendly and welcoming, there is so much knowledge and expertise that you can learn from and transfer into your future career.
