That’s what’s on offer when you choose a one year Industrial Placement, or a 12-week Summer Internship within one of our BAE Systems businesses.
Business – Our business placements opportunities are integral to our ability to deliver successful projects. Placements are available in a number of areas, including Business Development, Commercial, Procurement and Project Management.
Engineering – Cutting edge innovations and world leading technological developments are the foundation of our business. We have a wide range of engineering placements available including Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical, Software and Systems.
Finance – Here, you won’t just be working on the financial aspects of some of the most exciting projects in defence, aerospace and engineering, you’ll also be working and learning from some of the most accomplished professionals in their fields.
Technical Delivery – As a Technical Delivery intern, you’ll undertake a mix of technical challenges, business problem solving and client liaison which could be in an a range of areas from Software Engineering to Cyber Security Technical Analysis.
Consultancy – As a consultancy intern, you would have the opportunity to focus on equipping the client with a basic technical understanding of our capabilities and markets.
12-month Industrial Placements
If you have the talent, now is the time to prove it. We have approximately 60 one-year placements available each year and all offer you the chance to develop new skills and gain valuable industry experience in the real world.
12-week Summer Internships
It’s the best way to put theory into practice. A Summer Internship at BAE Systems gives you a real insight into working life in one of our UK businesses, while honing your skills. Our internships provide on-the-job training within a structured framework. We only offer these placements when there is real work to be completed, with over 100 placements available each year.
What are we looking for?
To join our Summer Internship scheme or our one year Industrial Placement scheme you must be on course to achieve, at least a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree. This can be in any subject for our business or finance opportunities and must be in an engineering, technical, numerical or scientific subject for our consultancy, engineering or technical delivery placements. For our finance placements, you also need 280 UCAS points (or equivalent)
