What made you want to join Volkswagen Financial Services?
Cars, cars, and cars!
What are the highlights of your placement so far?
In just 4 months on the role, I’ve become more organised and more confident when speaking to people in formal settings. I’ve also enhanced my productivity and technical skills (excel). I’ve also really enjoyed meeting all of the other undergraduates on placement!
How would you describe the culture at VWFS?
The culture at VWFS is great! Not only do I truly feel like a valuable part of my team during the work day, I also get to interact with employees from different departments every Tuesday night by playing in a 7 a side Football with them.
What do you do on a day to day basis within your role?
My role is quite dynamic which I really enjoy as every day can be completely different. But at a granular level, I help my manager with one of her larger Strategic customers. This ranges from helping them keep track of their fleet through weekly reports, answering day to day queries, to ordering vehicles and fuel cards, and much more!
What advice would you give to a student following in your footsteps?
Don’t get overwhelmed at the assessment centre, learn as much as you can about the company and your role to gain confidence and be at an advantage. And most important, ask many questions!!
