The Role
This was my first job at a corporate firm. But I felt at home. Both, my team and the HR were very accommodating and helpful.
It was great to be part of interesting work. Many of the bankers involved me in live projects which was a great learning experience. The whole work environment was very friendly.
The bankers always solved my queries. They were also readily involved in discussions with regard to work. They also helped me on other fronts as well spanning from personal to career advice.
Investment Banking could keep you really busy at times. When one gets accustomed to juggling 4-5 urgent assignments at a time, I often found it boring when I had fewer tasks at hand.
Responsibility given exceeded my expectations. I did not feel that I was an intern and felt at home.
My presentation and excel skills, apart from the knowledge about the Investment Banking sector, improved a lot during the tenure of the Internship. These skills have already started paying dividends in my studies. I am sure they will help me in future as well.
The Company
Very friendly environment to work at.
Did not find anything out of place. A smooth process/set up.
I often attended various training sessions which helped me a lot to get the work done during the Internship period.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Car
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
They seem to be quite good. Even I would grab the chance of working at Rothschild without second thoughts.
The Culture
Yes there was. Not only fellow interns but Bankers as well. We often went out on Thursdays and Fridays for Drinks/coffee/dinner.
London can be an expensive city. But they pay you well to sustain without any complaints.
Central London, a few bars around the area. But night clubs are not far.
