    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Grant Thornton is a great place to work with great people, the firm put lots of time into training and development and I was given the opportunity to attend various workshops and training sessions which were very useful.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • You are treated just like a graduate and as such colleagues treat you the same as them, you are a key part of the team.

  • You have a 6 monthly performance review half way through the year as well as final one at the end of the year.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • This varied depending on the period but generally I always had things to do, however this was never overwhelming there were a few late nights but this is to be expected.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The level of responsibility varied on the cases I worked on; on some cases I was responsible for running the case day to day whereas on others my role was rather less significant,

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I have learnt will be applicable at nearly all graduate level office jobs and therefore are very valuable.

    The Company

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There are 3 placement workshops held in the company's training facility at Bradenham Manor these workshops are not related to your day to day work but provide a good opportunity to meet and network with the other placements.
