    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I have enjoyed my placement with Faurecia, I have gained valuable hands on experience and had experience in a variety of HR areas.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?

    • I was treated as part of the HR TEAM whilst on placement and my just a student or a number.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?

    • If I ever needed support I could ask my manager for support and guidance. My manager was happy to offer guidance to help me perform to my greatest ability.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • Everyday was different, some days were quiet and others I would have a large workload which kept me busy. I have been satisfied with with my workload.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?

    • I have been giving the amount of responsibility I would expect on placement. Some projects I was given 100% responsibility which was great.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • All of the training I was given is relevant to my HR degree.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • Whilst I was on placement my department changed completely but we all get along and have a laugh with a work balance.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?

    • I always have something to do whilst on my placement. And I am treating like a employee.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • I completed a number of training courses whilst on placement eg EEF training which will support my studies.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?

    • Faurecia offers a great VIE scheme for after graduation I am very interested in this opportunity.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • All the students get along well and meet up occasionally, we all go for lunch in a local cafe every Friday.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • There isn't much in socialising due to small village.

    • Basically no nightlife

    • There wasn't any events organised outside of work.
