Overview
Providing hardware and software support to plant, monitoring plant IT security, network monitoring, data backup management, carrying out emergency procedures, machine management (building, updating, decommissioning), assisting other departments with IT related issues.
Skills
Communication skills, team-working skills, individual working skills, deadline and priority management, eye-opening hands-on experience, leadership on some aspects of small projects.
Responsibilities
I was given as much responsibility as I requested, on specific aspects where I was more comfortable I was given more responsibility, whereas others I would learn from watching, overall a good balance of responsibility.
Support & Guidance
I received support whenever requested from my team and the HR department, every job was made very clear and precise allowing me to utilize my skills efficiently.
Culture
The atmosphere and culture has been good to work in, every need provided and everybody treated equally.
Your Impressions
My placement was made enjoyable by my team with a good social grounding and as much support as possible. The duration of my placement has proved an enjoyable experience.
