    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I have learnt so much this year and had a very good time. However the first 6 months were very hard work and just admin. Although I've had an amazing time and would recommend it my role had much more admin and less projects then I expected.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I know feel like I'm the only person in my office that could do my job which makes you feel quite valued. However I'm very much an admin assistant not a more important role

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • my manager has been amazing and supported me the whole way giving very honest feedback. The feedback could be quite personal and hard to take but I wouldn't be where I am now without it.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It's varies greatly between weeks, at the start I quite often didn't have enough to do.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I didn't feel like I was given the projects and the responsibility I could have got on palcement

    2/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I have learnt so much this year and developed so much as a person. I would definitely do it again

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • I found it quite hard to fit in, it's a very different atmosphere to university but I now love it.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • We had development days every couple of months which were very well set up an organised. However on the actual placement people are very unsure who's job it is to train you and what your role actually involves. I work for 2 different sections and one was very well organised, where as in the other my manager paid no attention to my development or what I should be doing.

    2/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had development days every couple of months that were great. But other than that most development was off your own back.
