The Role
This is the best internship I've ever done! I was allowed to work autonmously on specific projects gigving me enough responsibility to aid my personal development and prepare me for a paid job. I was given a fully comprehensive induction to the company so I understood the organisation. My mentor was wonderful and even senoir members who were not my mentor were keen to help me if didn't understand something. Everyone was committed to helping me succeed and even though the role was challenging it never felt like work and I thoroughly loved every minute of the experience.
I never once felt like an 'intern'; I was invited to team meetings, corporate meetings, we would often lunch together and knew that the work I was doing was important and valuable to the company.
My mentor and other senoir members of staff were availble 24/7, if they weren't in the office I would foten tos peak to them on the phone or via email, I never felt alone.
It would range form week to week from manic to rather slow, but the change of pace was welcomed.
Ad much responsibility as I wanted to take on and could prove I could successfully ahndle.
As a graduate it was wonderful to sue my degree and put the skills I elarnt in the classroom to test in a busy work environemnt. The addittioanl skils I learnt during my internship are invaluable.
