    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It did exactly what I expected an insight week to do. It gave me a first hand experience into the GFA area, and although I learned that GFA wasn't for me, a large number of people became really enthusiastic about the area and Rothschild itself. I expected it to be a cut throat experience but I very much enjoyed my experience and met some really nice people during the week.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The networking events and shadowing were very engaging and during all of it, I felt that the employees were there out of genuine interest in imparting their experiences and knowledge onto us.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • During the insight we received a vast amount of support and guidance through the form of one on one shadowing, networking events and talks from various members of staff.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • With banking being such a vast industry, it is very difficult for anyone to know exactly what area they want to do. This insight week gave me a fantastic opportunity to learn about the industry and learn vital presentation and interview skills which will be of great help in the future. Although I decided not to opt to continue in GFA, I met many people who were convinced by the insight that not only was GFA for them, but they were convinced Rothschild, as a company, was too.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • It was a very engaging and enjoyable experience! I met people who were obviously very intelligent and also great to get along with too! Everyone was really friendly and I hope to keep in touch with them in the future.
