About You
The Spring Insight Programme at Rothschild was very enjoyable, and served as an introduction to Global Financial Advisory within Rothschild.
For the duration of the Spring Week, I felt that a significant amount of preparation and planning had gone into the week. For example, everyday was full of activities, for example a mixture of talks, networking and skills sessions.
There was a presentation skills workshop as a part of the week, and everyone was very friendly and willing to help if any difficulties arose.
The information and skills I have learnt will be very useful in helping me build up a better understanding of Global Financial Advisory, particularly M&A and debt and equity advisory businesses.
The Company
Everyday was planned very well, with activities throughout the week. For example, there were networking opportunities with senior managers and also directors, and also talks and skills sessions.
The atmosphere was very friendly, for example during the networking and shadowing sessions, everyone was willing to help and answer any questions we had.
There were lots of skills sessions and shadowing opportunities, all of which helped develop skills and knowledge of the industry.
A lot of time during the week was devoted to exploring the rich history and tradition of Rothschild, for example there was a tour of the archives.
We took part in a tour of the archives and networking sessions which gave me a great opportunity to understand more about the culture of Rothschild.
After completing the Spring Insight Programme, I am very keen to work at Rothschild in the future.
Everything Else
All accommodation and travel expenses were reimbursed.
There were lots of networking opportunities, for example I networked with directors and analysts, which gave me a great insight into working at Rothschild.
There were social and networking opportunities throughout the week, particularly on the first and last evenings.
We took part in volunteering at a Wildlife Trust in London as part of the Spring Insight Week.Rothschild has build up an extensive volunteering network and all employees have opportunities to volunteer.
The insight was a fantastic and informative week which I would definitely recommend to a friend.
