The Role
Everyone is friendly and willing to share knowledge.
Fitted in well with my team, and they all took the time to explain different aspects of their work to me.
Bi-weekly one on one with my managers, weekly team meetings with team managers and monthly town halls with firm management.
Too busy to be bored, but sometimes having to work longer hours than other placement students or members of the team.
Sole responsibility within team for a few roles.
Not yet able to know if they have benefitted.
The Company
As I'm currently sitting on the trading floor, it is quite noisy and fast paced.
Formal training in the first week then on the job training with my team. HR organised lots of events over the summer.
No external courses, but many people gave up their time to teach me valuable information/processes.
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
High percentage of placement students who return, and so far have thought a really good company to work for.
The Culture
Over the summer, there was something organised by HR most weeks, and something organised most nights by other students. This meant you got to meet all the other students, and now can organise things independently.
Expensive but good salary helped to make this more affordable.
So much to do in London.
Lots of outside of work events organised by the firm, and if you have something to go to, my team would let me leave early.
