  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Real valuable experience into the retail world - varied and challenging placement

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Made to feel very welcome by all teams I worked with, meaning there were lots of people to say goodbye to!

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Shadowing various managers so could constantly ask about role, ask questions and really get proper insight into a manager's role.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Some days were slow, and some were frantic but that is the nature of retail. Never felt I had too much or too little to do.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Felt more or less acting as an additional manager on the shop floor - sometimes be left to run the whole department!

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Really useful management skills and leadership skills as well as insight into my strengths and weaknesses allowing me to develop further.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was brilliant, happy and relaxed and it was thoroughly enjoyable working there, even when really quiet or really busy.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I was given a broad overview of the store/ company, meaning when I took on my role as manager I had a very good understanding of how everything worked, allowing me to step into management shoes.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • On the job training but a lot of people dedicated their time to helping me - making sure I knew what to do etc, and I received basic Systems training.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    Healthcare/Dental

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Fantastic company to work for. Being in the Partnership makes you feel as if you belong to a family and everyone supports each other and wants you to do well.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Little bit cliquey at times but understandable as everyone working together for long time and I was only there 6 weeks, but effort made to include in external events and loved fact departments ate together on breaks instead of everyone going off by selves

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

  • 5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Loads organised by the store and in each department
