The Role
Morgan Stanley was a great place to work, I worked in a great team and the people are really friendly. I liked interacting with clients in my role, however I would have liked the experience of also working in another team.
My colleagues made me feel welcome, and treated me just the same as everyone else. I performed the same tasks and felt valued with the work I done.
The managament team changed a lot when I was there so I had a lot of different managers. However I did always have fortnightly meetings and was supported by the managers.
On average my day was busy, working from 8.30 am until 6.30pm.
I was performing the same tasks as my colleagues, looking after my own clients. I was given the same amount of responsilibity as others in the team, and by the end of the placement I had a lot more.
Experience of working in the real world, has helped with working in a team and new people at university. It has give me more confidence with interacting with others and will help me in a graduate position.
The Company
Quite quite, people concentrating on work. Fun sometimes.
Communication was very good before we started. Not as much communication during it.
Did not have much personal training. Was unable to join training programmes as was not a full time employee
I would like to work back at Morgan Stanley.
The Culture
Regular placment student nights out organised by us.
Cost of socialising was high as in London.
Nightlife was good, could easily get to other areas aswell.
We are few sports activities and socialising events. Two christmas parties and one summer one.
