The Role
It was truly challenging and i learned a lot during the course of my internship. The desing of the internship was also very good.
At first its hard to be the new guy in a group but after working close to my colleagues during several weeks i really felt like I was a part of the team and it felt sad to leave after the internship.
The mentor/buddy roles truly helped my during my internship. My buddy gave me valuable insight on how to best secure and full time offer and my mentor was there also to help me out.
During a couple of weeks I did have too much staffings and I felt that I could have done more, however the business is volatile and I fully understood that there wasnt to much I could do at the moment. However I expresses my concern that I felt understaffed and my staffer made sure that the later part of my internship was more busy than the first part.
In the secon half of my internship I was in charge of building a valuation model, more or less from scratch. I was truly a challenge and I enjoyed it very much.
The everyday work in excel and powerpoint has really helped me our during my studies but also the different valuation aspect within the different industries has given me a lot of knowledge in valution that I havent learned in my degree studies.
The Company
Everybody has a great attitude towards the task you are given, even though you have to stay very late at some days the spirit amongs the employees is always great and everyone is there to help out, you are never left alone which is great for a newbie.
I really felt that there has been a lot of effort and energy put in the internship with training, different skill session during the course of the internship.
I feel that the company invested a significant amount in the interns.
