  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • This was my first proper internship, so I didn't know what to expect. I thoroughly enjoyed my placement from start to finish.

  • I was made to feel welcome the moment I arrived. So, I think I was genuinely valued by my colleagues.

  • Support and guidance was there when needed.

  • There was always plenty to do, so I was never bored.

  • It was the right balance of having enough responsibility, whilst having help when needed.

  • I did quite a lot of embedded programming, which is very useful for a few of my modules.

  • It was the right balance of a relaxed atmosphere, whilst also a very productive.

  • The placement was organised long in advance, including my accommodation.

  • The correct training is there is needed. Personally, I didn't take full advantage of this.

  • Future employment is very appealing.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There is an intern Facebook and email group, which can be used to organise events. For example, meeting at the pub after work on a Friday.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • My accommodation was £23 per night, but there are cheaper options out there. The cost of socialising would be slightly higher than average.

  • It's mainly pubs, however there are a few clubs.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes, there are many opportunities made available by the company. This includes, 5-aside football every week.
