I thoroughly enjoyed my internship at Arm. The work assigned to me was reasonably challenging, I was provided with plenty of support, and my co-workers were polite and helpful. I felt very little stress throughout my internship, and was happy to have gained invaluable industry experience during the 12 weeks I worked there.
I really enjoyed my 11 weeks internship. It has been an excellent opportunity for me to learn new concepts and methods directly on the field, and to gain an insight into how a successful company works. I also made many valuable connections inside the company, which enrich my professional background and improve my future employability.
It was enjoyable experience working at ARM, it’s a very casual environment it work in and people are friendly and approachable. I worked in ATG and over the course of the 12 week placement I think I learnt a lot of new skills however I’m still unsure what ATG actually does.
Perfect for students studying CS related subjects. Employees around me are always seeking for improvements in codes. The offices are well lit, fairly spacious, free coffee and drinks available. Good food in the canteen, and there is a good variety of desserts from day to day. Good IT support from hardware requests to login issues.
For me it was a very enjoyable experience working here at ARM, it is a very friendly environment; I worked within the ATG department and I found people here to be particularly enthusiastic and very knowledgeable which has allowed me to pick up a lot more skills than if I probably would have otherwise.
Overall, the placement was relatively enjoyable. The work was interesting and most people were friendly and always offering help and support when necessary (provided they were not too busy). There were many interns during my summer and so there were many social events organised, both by interns and by the company. The location (Cambridge) has a few good places to visit and the nightlife is good (even during non-term time).
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at Atkins. Having carried out a placement year and a summer placement there before, it was nice to return to the Structures team and to be given more responsibilities. I was able to work on two different projects during my two month placement, which were both interesting and challenging.
I really enjoyed the time that I spent at ARM. The projects that I was a part of and worked on were really interesting. I felt really welcomed into the company by everyone in the team, everyone was really friendly and the people I was working with made the experience even more enjoyable.
I was able to settle fairly quickly in the relaxed company environment and most of the tasks I was assigned were really interesting for me and definitely enjoyable. I had insight into the way things get done at ARM and I gathered a vast array of knowledge while having a very good time.
The internship was pretty good. There are many smart people and a relaxed atmosphere. However if you are a contractor or a long-term intern, then you feel alienated. There is a bias against interns. So even if you are a very talented intern you will always be given 'intern' tasks.
ARM has a vibrant atmosphere, with lots people willing to help if you encounter problems, not just your supervisors. Outside of work, there were lots of social activities organised and a huge number of sports or general interest groups to get involved with. The large number of interns meant there were many like-minded people to socialise with.
