The Role
Great atmosphere, interesting work, lots of events organized for the intern class.
It took one to 2 weeks before we were fully integrated to the team. However, once this period had passed, I felt just as if I were a full-time analyst. My work was reviewed and I frequently got feedback, encouragements and comments.
Management took some of its time to give us presentation about the firm, the industry. I also greatly appreciated the MD's breakfast. Our team also organized a series of lunches with the MDs of the group.
By definition, IBD is a job where you are constantly busy, but this is also why I chose to enter this industry.
I did not have the chance to work on a live execution. However, I had to update models and presentation for clients and press release, which gave me quite a lot of responsibilities.
Training was a good re-fresher of the skills I had acquired though my studies and previous internship. My placement allowed to further develop those skills and broaden my understanding of capital markets.
The Company
great atmosphere with the other interns of the group. The general atmosphere within the team got better and better as the summer progressed and as we got to know everyone better.
Very well organized. All presentations, events went smoothly without taking us away from work for too long. I would only have liked to know which team I was part of a bit earlier.
I felt a lot was done for us to enjoy and learn a lot during our summer.
I got an offer and signed the contract without hesitation
The Culture
As much as possible, we tried to hang out, have dinner, enjoy London all together
Cost of living in London is pretty high. (I am not sure I quite understand the question - strange phrasing and possible answers)
Not much time to enjoy nightlife.
Due to the little free time I had, I had little opportunities to have activities outside of work.
