The Role
Really enjoyed the experience. Particularly the exposure to so much of the bank we were given.
They treated me with respect and gave me a good amount of work to do. They were also very happy to answer all of my questions.
The support network for us was excellent. Everyone is assigned a manager, a current person on the grad scheme and two senior employees.
My team were very good. No crazily early starts or late nights, really was a 9-6 job.
A fair amount of responsibility and I was given a lot of independence which was great.
It was an invaluable experience, from just living and working in London for 10 weeks, soft skills such as networking, to more technical skills such as the programmes and excel.
The Company
People worked hard and concentrated but most people were happy to chat. There are 3 large screen TVs on each side of the office so you are able to watch the news and all the big events.
HR were very good.
People spent a lot of time teaching us.
