  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really enjoyed it! Worth every little bit of effort and strain. Brilliant placement!

  • Really felt like I had been part of the team for years rather than weeks! Everyone was so helpful and genuine.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Every week I was to attend a meeting with a supervisor to discuss my progress, development and feelings towards the placement.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Managing a department is tough and so I was always busy and there were always obstacles to overcome. I did enjoy finding solutions to these obstacles, though!

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Really impressed by the amount of responsibility confided in me. I was able to implement my own ideas and visions in order to make the department run smoothly and successfully.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Everyday I am using the skills that I gained from the placement. My time there was invaluable!

  • The other staff were sociable and easy to talk to which helped the days pass quickly.

  • Flawless. I knew well-beforehand what I would be involved with on the placement and how I was expected to progress.

  • I was encouraged to ask for training and the courses they provided were unparalleled.

  • Before my placement concluded, I was recommended to apply for the graduate scheme.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I worked in close contact with a fellow placement intern who I got on like fire with.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The North is much cheaper than the South and so I noticed that my money went much further than it usually does back home or at uni.

  • It's a city centre so there is bedlam everywhere!

  • None were mentioned during my time there.
