    • The amount of work was adjusted in accordance to how successful you were.

    • I had two projects. The first I was given relatively little responsibility for, and was guided through. The second I was primarily in charge of, with my manager checking in only now and then.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The programming experience gained will be very valuable, and this was a very good way of learning it.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • This varied from team to team. In general my team were fairly quiet compared to others, although this was mostly a matter of the personalities involved. I did get on well with my colleagues and we did find time to have a laugh during the day.

    • A lot of my manager's time was given over to helping me develop.

    • Subsidised company houses made the cost of living lower than it would otherwise might have been in London
