The Role
Colleagues were very grateful and very supporting
Management were helpful whenever I needed advice
The were many tasks to do on a daily basis and a wide variety. There often felt like there was a lot to get done but this was better than having nothing, and colleagues were always there to lighten my load if necessary.
I was given responsibility for many Breast Cancer Awareness Month launches throughout the area, with huge responsibility for the three day Cambridge launch.
A huge variety of skills learnt, and how to prioritise and work to deadflines. Also attending a day long CV and Interview training course provided by the charity. Also had a trainging day for 'Raisers Edge' which is a database system used in many charities and companies.
The Company
Some colleagues worked from home so some days were quieter than others but this was a good balance.
excellent introduction to the charity for first two days, then to the role for the rest of the week. clear projects to work on.
Two day introduction to charity at beginning of internship. One day 'Raisers Edge' database training. One day CV and Interview training mid way through placement. Two day intern exhibition at end of placement. Excellent training days and training throughout.
