The Role
It has been a valuable insight into a previously unknown sector of engineering, and I have hugely enjoyed it.
I felt as though my input to the projects was valued and appreciated by my colleagues.
There is a very steep learning curve associated with starting in a new industry, but with the proper guidance, I found I was able to perform all tasks assigned to me during my placement.
I have generally been occupied with work at all times through my placement, so I have been kept consistently busy, but in no danger of failing to complete work assigned to me on time.
The level of responsibility I was given was perfectly judged for a placement student and appropriate for the Industry.
It has proved a context and grounding for my university studies that is not possible to gain without spending time in the industry.
The Company
The office is a pleasant place to be, relaxed, but professional
It was very rare for me to find that I was running low on work to do, and I was never assigned menial or pointless tasks.
As would be expected for a short term placement
I would definitely consider working at Hoare Lea in the future.
The Culture
As would be expected from a short term placement.
Plymouth is a has a university and as such has student orientated amenities.
No idea I'm afraid. I am not at Plymouth University and have never been out in Plymouth.
Not relevant to a short term placement.
