The Role
I had plenty of support, the work I needed to do was well explained but then I was given a lot of autonomy in carrying out my duties
Some more senior members of staff did not reply to my emails very quickly or at all. But otherwise everyone was really positive and gave me good feedback.
I had a line mananger and mentor who was excellent but she was not 'management'. The Management were approacheable in the most part but very busy.
Becuase I was project managing my own projects I sometimes had a lull in how busy I was as I was waitng for someone to get back to me and could not continue without their response.
I could check things with my mentor whenever I was unsure but otherwise was free to carry out my projects and liaise with the rest of the department and company as I liked.
I've gained excellent hand on experience in many different areas which will definitely help me to get a job.
The Company
A lot of the people in my office work form home on some days or were on site visits so sometimes there would only be 1 or 2 people in. However, on other days the office would be full and everyone would be busy buzzing around.
Really, well set up. I had everything i needed to get strated pretty much straight away.
I was given online training in some different software packages.
Working from home
Very appealing, I would happily work for any department at CR-UK.
The Culture
We were quite a big group- 57 in total so arranging social event was difficult as we were split across different sites in Holborn and Regets park. However, the company is moving to one site soon so future interns wont have this problem/.
Expensive- inner london- but some good bargains could be found.
There are a few pubs but that's it.
Fundraising, volunteering at events, attending other people's fundraising events.....
