    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I had plenty of support, the work I needed to do was well explained but then I was given a lot of autonomy in carrying out my duties

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Some more senior members of staff did not reply to my emails very quickly or at all. But otherwise everyone was really positive and gave me good feedback.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I had a line mananger and mentor who was excellent but she was not 'management'. The Management were approacheable in the most part but very busy.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Becuase I was project managing my own projects I sometimes had a lull in how busy I was as I was waitng for someone to get back to me and could not continue without their response.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I could check things with my mentor whenever I was unsure but otherwise was free to carry out my projects and liaise with the rest of the department and company as I liked.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • A lot of the people in my office work form home on some days or were on site visits so sometimes there would only be 1 or 2 people in. However, on other days the office would be full and everyone would be busy buzzing around.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We were quite a big group- 57 in total so arranging social event was difficult as we were split across different sites in Holborn and Regets park. However, the company is moving to one site soon so future interns wont have this problem/.
