  • As I worked outside of London, it was difficult to get to the training and development events at times.

  • Although I was given access to the internal vacancies list, there are not many job opportunities, especially in the regions and for graduates as most of the entry level jobs are filled by volunteers or interns.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a lot going on but again because I am outside of London I was unable to take part in most of them...I did get the emails about them though!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It's not too bad but I did need to continue with my other employment at the evenings and weekends which meant working quite a few 18 hour days.

  • As I was a student in Bristol I was already familiar with the city and had lived here for 3 years previously.
