The Role
Given total responsibility and encouraged to actively seek new opportunities for my project.
Loved them all! All of the team made themselves available whenever I had queries or requests
My mentor is the oracle. She allowed me to be independent, facilitating my development in a fantastic way through meetings and one on one support.
I managed my own work flow which allowed me to dedicate time to the projects that needed it.
My project was my own and I was allowed to take it forward in my own unique way whilst being given the right amount of guidance.
Thanks to my internship experience I have been able to secure a position in a marketing agency, something I would not have achieved without Cancer Research UK on my CV.
The Company
The office was not always busy which allowed time for serious work, but when it was it was a great atmosphere
With training, one on one meetings, and mid term reviews the placement was set up brilliantly. Also having a dedicated Intern executive meant that all queries/concerns were dealt with quickly and effectively
Paying for expenses to London to recieve training on CVs and interviews was a brilliant investment, it helped me get my job.
Unfortunately there are currently no opportunities that I have enough experience to apply for, however I hope my internship will set me up well for returning to the organisation when I have developed in my career.
The Culture
Due to being in a regional office I couldn't attend the events planned in our central offices.
Living at home...definitely cheap as chips!
Bristol has an awesome night life
Again, opportunities would have been better if I had been based at central office.
