    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Overall the placement was really good, very insightful, very educational. Highly recommended.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My team were always very inclusive and always considered in activities in and around the office.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was generally allowed to get on with the work I needed to do independently as this worked better for me, however, whenever I required support and guidance, it was always readily available.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Everyday varies, some days are really busy, others aren't so much depending on how fast or slow you get through the work. Nonetheless, there will never be a moment where you will have nothing to do in and around the office.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given high levels of reponsibility with both internal staff members from different teams and offices as well as with direct clients.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Every skill you learn and develop will always assist with your future studies, career and beyond so do not take them for granted.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was a relatively small office and at times you could hear a pin drop but the atmosphere was always chilled and full of banter.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • My office was undergoing a transition however, this did not hinder the overall level of orgainsation with regards to my placement and by no means did this reflect on the overall organisation of the company which from the inside, you realise how intrinsically structured the organisation is.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I was allowed the opportunity to gain experince and exposure from different aspects of property which are not necessary as closely linked to my path, thus, by not tailoring strictly to my direct needs, it enabled me to broaden my understanding of how other aspects of property operate and how they are closely linked into my specific field. This type of investment is necessary for any new graduate as we are still at an early point within our careers we need as much exposure as possible to everything as it can and will only add value.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Cushmand and Wakefield are known for taking on summer students onto the graduate programmes of the following academic year unless something is made available prior hand.

  • yes, we ocassionally had office events as well as company events.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Manchester is relatively cheaper than London so you can get around and socialise without feeling bankrupt every month.

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I didnt participate in the night life on this ocassion, but I have lived in Manchester before and the nightlife is generally really good

    4/5
