The Role
Very intense job, but the level of responsibility and learning experience is absolutely above expectations.
It was stressfull because people are really counting on you and you have to be up to date. So you really feel you are valued by your colleagues because they are always asking for update on your works.
The summer internship is a big programme, so you will receive a lot of guidance and there is an outstanding organistion.
Really busy. I was starting at 9:00 in the morning and ending at 1:00 in the morning in the evening. This can change a lot. Unlike may other interns, my week end were free.
I took part into several client meeting and was directly responsible for the presentations materials, without anyone to check it. I had to call clients sometime directly to have some information. But of course my responsibility were limited.
I had to use all the financial skills I learned at school. I wish I knew more about Finance before starting this internship.
The Company
People were very supprotive. Of course this is an investment bank and you have to compare it to other banks, this is why I am giving a 10. You should bare this in mind.
As I told before, this is an enormous programme with a lot of interns. The organisation is really top class. HR people are very supportive during the whole summer.
Sometimes it was too intense I have to admit it, this is sometimes hard to find your balance between the work and your life outside office. This is why I am not giving a 10. But I never learned so much about Finance in 2 months... The learning curve is unbelievable. If you are ready to accept the cost, then go for it !

I hope I will get an offer and come back...
The Culture
As this is the summer internship program with more than 250 students from Europe, you meet a lot of interesting people. Some of them are now friends !
London is really expensive, but the huge compensation for the internship helps to deal with it.
Canary Wharf sucks. I have to admit it.
Yes we had, but I did not have time...and during the week end, I used my time to relax and sleep.
