The Role
It was a great insight into day-to-day work at an analyst level. As this is the point of internships - to see if one would enjoy the job - it fit the bill completely.
Very. Because of the small team sizes in my department, early responsibility was given on tasks that involved client exposure. Working with clients directly is certainly that!
There were several presentations and workshops from senior management in addition to presentations of case studies. The interns were fully integrated into the Morgan Stanley employee universe.
On the debt side, summer is traditionally a relatively slow month. However, I was still kept busy with preparation for clients in late Aug/Sept when the bond markets reopened.
Lots. See above.
Soft skills mainly...working with people, prioritising workloads etc.
The Company
Very convivial and fun without making it difficult to get work done. A certain level of professionalism always existed.
Faultless. The amount of organisation that went into the mechanics of the internship and the events, activities etc that were organised was stellar.
Personal development was very much emphasised as a core part of the Morgan Stanley experience.

Company Parties/Events
Due to the positive feedback received at performance reviews and based upon this, I would feel misguided were I highly unlikely not to receive an offer. Based on the feedback received, it seems optimistic.
The Culture
Yes. The events facilitated this. Additionally, a large contingent of the internship class was international which almost forced integration.
It's London...everything is expensive! But the salary compensated.
Canary Wharf isn't brilliant so interns often went into the West End.
Volunteering in local schools and charitable projects was encouraged.
