The Role
Everyone here is extremely friendly and helpful, the internship is now a structured programme providing variety and responsibility.
For the most part the employees are very welcoming and helpful throughout, even after being asked numerous questions! As with every workplace there are a variety of characters but all made me feel a valued part of the organisation.
Management provided me with the necessary support and were always there should I need any guidance. They laid out all tasks at the start of the placement so I knew what to expect.
Due to the nature of the job there were some days that were much more busy than others, however I usually always had something to do for the day.
I was given control of a complete function, which no one else would look at, so I would say the responsibility levels are very good. Not 10/10 as I feel towards the end of my placement when I had learned that particular function well I could have perhaps have been learning about something else.
As my degree is not in the same field as this company I will not be able to apply any technical aspects of the job. However I have still developed skills in communication, prioritisation and presentation that will undoubtedly be invaluable for the future.
The Company
Mostly very friendly, willing to help and have a good balance between work and play.
Very well organised, structured tasks and organised training courses, however we were not told what our graduate assessment would be until a week before it was due. Other than that there were no other negatives.
I would say the company makes a great deal of effort to make our experience as beneficial as it is for them. It is clear that they have invested a lot of time and money into the programme and this is reflected in a culmination of great internships and potential future graduates.

Company Parties/Events
Plenty of scope for future development, many different global links but also a variety of jobs available within the Glasgow office.
The Culture
Everyone made an effort to attend various social events, from a few drinks at the local pub to a full night out. Always some people doing something so I think everyone got a chance to be a part of this. My team also arranged many of their own nights out.
As the office is only five minutes walk away from the city centre there is a great deal of variety from student places to more expensive bars. The office also has a great local for a few friday night drinks.
Similar to the above, a short distance from the office there are countless clubs.
We were included in some of the extra opportunities such as a Golf Charity Day and Volunteering. As we are only there for 3 months though it just depends what has been organised for that time.
