The Role
Very interesting work, no two days were the same as there was always a new challenge.
I was treated like a full member of staff, and my team were very open and friendly.
The intern programme contained many helpful courses to increase our understanding of the business, and my manager was extremely supportive during my placement.
I was given a normal workload, and as I got more experienced I found it to be very manageable.
I was given the same duties as full time members of staff, and took full responsibility over the markets I had been given.
I learned a great deal about communication and working under pressure, I feel this will be very helpful during my final year at university and beyond that.
The Company
Great people to work with, plenty of social events and very welcoming.
Structured programme that had a good balance between normal working with team and meeting as an intern group for courses or other events.
They provided every opportunity for us to learn more about the courses and jobs on offer, and were very encouraging about applying for a full-time role within the organisation.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
We were encouraged to apply for the graduate scheme as the company had invested so much training in us.
The Culture
There were plenty of nights out with the interns and also full-time members of staff, a very welcoming atmosphere.
Reasonable, just normal city centre prices.
Glasgow has a great range of clubs and pubs, there is something to appeal to everyone.
Plenty of social events, there were also company golf days that we were invited to attend.
