The Role
It was my only placement so nothing to compare it to, but a lot of fun and I gained a lot of extremely useful experience.
I was made to feel very welcome and fully included in the team, and the company as a whole.
My manager was fantastic, gave me a lot of insight into the role and the overall business!
Generally very busy, but the hours weren't ridiculous.
For the part of the application that I was responsible for, I was left to my own decisions without any interference (although help was always there if required).
I learned a lot that I didn't learn in university, and put a lot of what I did learn into practice. The experience here was excellent.
The Company
Very relaxed and enjoyable yet everyone had a great work ethic at the same time.
I don't have a single complaint to make.
Everything that was necessary for my internship was provided.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I'm very optimistic about my chances.
The Culture
One of the other interns set up a mail group and we went out frequently.
Being central London it was quite expensive, but the pay at the internship accounts for that very well.
There are a lot of bars and restaurants, and a cinema, in Canary Wharf, where Morgan Stanley are based, although clubs are further away.
The company was frequently organising social events such as boat races and softball, and there is always something happening in London.
