The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my year and feel like I've learnt a lot both personally and professionally. I've made great friends who I know I'll keep in touch with.
Both my managers and fellow colleagues by my desk made me feel at ease when I started my placement. There's always jokes and laughter in the office which makes work a fun place to be.
Even when my manager was off site working she kept in regular contact to make sure I was ok. She always gave me freedom to do my projects and was there for when I needed help.
There were times were I was so busy I couldn't keep up and there were times where I had nothing to do however most of the time I had a steady flow of work that never left me too bored or too busy.
As there is practically a non-existant marketing department most of the time it was just me! I had help where ever I needed it but I was given a lot of responsibility within my first couple of weeks which I really enjoyed.
I've definitely learned what my strengths are and had a chance to work on my weaknesses. I know the skills I've learnt will help me in future jobs whatever they may be.
The Company
The office was a great place to be! There was always fun and laughter even with heavy workloads.
I had a great handover period with the previous placement student and everything was set up for me to take over smoothly. As the role changed during my year everything was done to help adjust to it.
There was the normal investment in training on site for specific procedures. However they did pay for me to go to events to gain new skills from being at company events.

If I had the chance, I would love to work with this company again!
The Culture
We often went out for dinner and to the cinema after work and we had a lot of fun nights out together.
As I was travelling from Manchester to Blackpool everyday, my living rates due to petrol were slightly higher than the other students. However socialising in Blackpool was not expensive.
A night out in Blackpool is definitely an experience! It was great fun as I was with a great bunch of people.
There is Badminton everyweek and volunteering opportunities.
