  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was definitely valued by my colleagues. They made me feel part of the team and I certainly did not feel like an outsider. Everyone was easy to talk to.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • All my colleagues were easy to talk to and provided me with a lot of support and guidance. It was very easy for me to approach someone to ask for help. The support and guidance given is great and it helped me improve greatly.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was pretty busy some days, but on the whole I felt that the workload was evenly balanced. I enjoyed coming into work everyday and never felt overwhelmed.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a fair amount of responsibility. I was given my own project which I was responsible for in its entirety which was really good. It was nice to experience this.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills developed during the internship will definitely help me in future life. I will use the skills I have learned in the rest of my university career and since I want to work in this area after I graduate, the skills I picked up during the internship will be of use to me without a doubt.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great atmosphere in the office. My colleagues were really friendly and although it was quite quiet at times, it was a good environment to work in.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • It was set up really well. I enjoyed coming in to the office every day and the interns were never left wondering what was coming up or what to expect. The organisation of the start of the internship was particularly good.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

  • Flexi Time

    Company Parties/Events

    5/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would love to come back here to work. The comments that I got from my supervisor and the colleagues that I worked with were all positive. They encouraged me to apply for a full-time job.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social scene with the other interns was ok. I went out with a few of the interns although looking back, I would have liked to get to know more of the interns.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The cost of living was okay. It was a bit more expensive than what I was expecting but nothing I couldn't handle.

    2/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife was mediocre. Coming from London, I just felt that there was not as much selection in the bars and clubs near the office. It could be that I didn't look hard enough, but the places I went to were only okay and not great.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were a few opportunities that were great for getting to know people in the business. It allowed me to build my network and I think that I have made some key contacts. However, I would have liked it if there were more events -- there weren't enough of these events in my view.
