    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was really enjoyable. I learned a lot and I made some great friends and connections.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues were great. They wanted me to do well and valued me as much as full-time employees, which was good.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • All of the interns were encouraged to ask questions and get answers. Anything I was unsure of, I knew I could ask my manager or members of my team. They were always there to help.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Just about the perfect balance I would say -- some may disagree but I think it depends on the team you are assigned to.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Pretty much as much responsibility as the rest of team which was nice. It made me feel really part of the team.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Skills for life, definitely. I did the Insight last year and learned skills there but since this was much longer it equipped me with more skills that I feel I can use in my professional career.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great atmosphere. Colleagues were friendly and up for a chat. Could take a break whenever - wasn't too strict which was good.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Organised really well. Communications were frequent and clear.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I got all the training I needed and was encouraged to do more if I needed it. My manager told me he does training often too so I think the company really wants everyone to stay on top of their game.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Financial Bonus

    3/5

  • It is expensive, although I was very conscious of my spending so didn't have too much trouble.
