About HSBC

You want a career with opportunities? HSBC has a world of them.

We are looking for new students and graduates who are collaborative and curious thinkers, with the courage to challenge the status quo and the motivation to make a positive impact for customers worldwide. No matter what your interests and skills are, a career at HSBC will give you the opportunities, experiences, networks and training you need – so there’s no limit to how far you’ll go.

HSBC is one of the world’s largest, most diverse international banking and financial service organisations. With 3,800 offices in 64 countries and territories, we serve 40 million customers in both established and emerging markets. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We put diversity at the heart of our business, because we understand how important it is both for commercial success and our customers. We want a connected and international workforce of unique thinkers who are open to a range of perspectives that reflect the communities and markets in which we serve. HSBC provides an open, supportive, and inclusive working environment, providing tailored training and support to help employees thrive in their chosen career path.

HSBC is focussed on building a sustainable future and serving the needs of a changing world. We know that economic growth must be sustainable for colleagues, customers and communities. Our approach focuses on three main areas: sustainable finance and the global transition to a low-carbon economy; sustainable supply chains; and employability and financial capability.

Students and graduates can apply to join internship and graduate programmes across the bank in the following areas: Commercial Banking, Global Banking & Markets, Wealth and Personal Banking (including Global Asset Management and Global Private Banking) and HSBC Operations, Services and Technology.

The journey begins with an induction to prepare successful applicants as they start their graduate programme. From there they will join their chosen business area and work with talented colleagues, supported by mentors as they progress. The technical and personal development training graduates receive will ensure they’re well equipped to achieve their full potential.
