  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • HP has a very large intern base. There are always people to socialize with, loads of charity events, and lots of people to ask questions to make your work easier.

  • Given a lot of responsibility

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Have to be very resourceful and find things out myself - HP is a very large organization, but there is always someone on hand to help. There is a 'handover' month between old interns and new interns where the old interns teach you everything you need to know. During this time you set goal with your manager and also you are allocated a 'buddy' elsewhere in the organization.

  • Was very busy at times, learn to prioritise- much better than having nothing to do though!!

  • confidence, life skills, and skills related to my field. Feel so much more prepared for the working world than I did before.

  • Office is okay, every week there are charity sales/ events though

  • very well - they organize accommodation when you first start, there is an intern committee, welcome meetings, handover month etc

  • Reading is not the cheapest of uni cities, especially compared to the north, but is much better than london

  • There is an alright nightlife in reading
