  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was an incredible exprience one that I would do again and tell everyone to take part in.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone is made to feel extremely valued at HP. Everyone is treated the same way.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • No question was ever judged as a silly question. I was supported every day throughout my year's experience by the team and my mentor. The support and guidance provided was great couldnt have asked for anything more in relation to colleague support

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I always had my set tasks to complete each day. If I was ever quiet I would let me mentor know and I was given additional work to complete. I was responsible for my own tasks and was very rarely stuck for something to complete.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given lots of responsibility for my own projects. I was given guidance along the way but overall i was responsible for key projects on behalf of me team.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Largely i can take away all the skills i have developed throughout my internship and adopt them into my personal and professional life. I am amazed at how many key skills and training I have learned in one year. I feel i have learned more about my own cababilities and can really include a practical element into my university studies now.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Brilliant very relaxed and friendly. You had the opportunity to interact with everyone in a very well layed out open plan office. Everyone knew everyone and with the support of all the staff i was very motivated to work hard.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well. The specific placement I undertook had been established for over 10 years so it was well organised with set tasks assigned to the student

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The training and development was endless. There was a set onboarding process and the development throughout was great. Always had the opportunity to learn new things and explore different areas of the business that you were not directly involved within.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would 100% come back to work for HP.There is a dedicated graduate programmes with a wide range of disiciplines. There are people continually gaining better jobs within HP, promotion and job rotation is a big plus for HP. The company is very people orientated and invests a lot of time ensuring colleagues are happy.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There wasnt a particularly huge group of interns in the same campus as me.Only around 6, we had many brilliant nights out together but if there had been more interns it would have been better.
