    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • A great opportunity to do an assessment centre but also get to practise a few AC elements before you actually do 'assessed' exercises.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • HR and the partners we met really made us feel valuable to the firm and spoke in an inclusive way that made me feel like I could easily settle in at the firm.

    3/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The Talent Academy didn't really focus on insight on the firm and the various business lines but was very much focused towards self development and improving skills that will get you through ACs. The things I learnt about how to succeed at AC stage were invaluable.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My degree has nothing to do with the financial skills I learnt, nor how I present myself etc.

    2/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Very well structured, we were always kept very busy.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • At first it seemed quite tense/competitive but as we all got to know each other, the atmosphere eased and I befriended a lot of people I hope to stay in touch with.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • A lot of emphasis put on self development and the Talent Academy offered the opportunity to do this.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Didn't really help me understand. The only employees we spoke to were directors or already partners. It would have been helpful to have analysts present at the networking events just to get more of an idea about life as an analyst in pwc.

    2/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • We learnt a lot about the company's core competencies which I guess is an element of company culture. The only other opportunity to learn about it was direct from the directors/partners we spoke to.

    3/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • The academy did not really focus much on the various roles/divisions in the business but from networking I think I have a sound idea of what I want to do.

    3/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • We were reimbursed expenses up to £150 (although I believe you could contact them beforehand if costs exceeded this limit)

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes. Two networking events over 3 days.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • I liked how the first event was more low key so got us warmed up on how to network before we met partners the next day. The second event had Pimms predrinks which was nice and made the event seem a bit less formal so I felt more comfortable.

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Yes, this was touched on in the introduction video, and I learnt about some of these from one of the partners at dinner.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Yes. Although I would have liked to learn more about the firm's different business lines, the Spring Week was still worth my time since I learnt a lot about myself and how to succeed at ACs.
