  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Very enjoyable. Friendly staff and the business games were good fun.

  • We were given talks by managing directors and had opportunities to network with them.

  • A full timetable was sent to us before the programme began. A conference call was also arranged to talk us through the insight and allow us to have any questions answered.

  • A good insight into banking. There was also a session about interview skills and an opportunity for advice on how to improve my CV which will be useful for future applications.

  • Everything was timetabled accurately and in a logical order.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Icebreakers made us comfortable with the rest of the group and the bowling networking event was good fun. Business games gave us a bit of healthy competition which I enjoyed.

  • The interview and CV training was useful

  • Gave us a chance to network with people at different levels within the company so got a feel for the job at all levels. Also had general talks about the different business areas.

  • Gave a good overview of the different business areas and the staff we got to meet were honest about the job and the lifestyle.

  • Travel was reimbursed and accommodation and food were provided.


  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Plenty of opportunities to meet people at different levels. Networking events on both evenings and an opportunity to work shadow a member of your selected business area.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The speed networking event on the first day seemed a little forced but the bowling event on the second evening was a good chance to chat to employees individually.

  • Difficult due to the busy nature of the work but there was a gym available in the building for employees to use.
