Day 1: Intro to the programme and Citi, panel talks Day 2: Insight sessions into markets and BCMA, amplify trading simulation Day 3: Another amplify trading simulation and more insight sessions, networking Day 4 and 5: Spent with chosen business area and taking part in case studies
We followed a detailed timetable each day full of exciting sessions. For example, we would begin in the morning with a trading game organised by Amplify, before attending speaker series talks across different divisions within Citi. Then in the evening we would network with our chosen business or chat with our recruiter to update her on how we were getting on. Every day was different and so we were never bored.
We had several meetings held with people of different areas within Citi Bank. Had the opportunity to network ask questions. We also had lots of interactive sessions such as amplify trading, escape game, etc. During the last two days we got divided according to our specific departments
At the start of the week we received a timetable letting us know what event s we had on for the day. Usually we would start the day off by meeting people the work in citi bank from different sectors and learning about their job and what skills it involves. We would also get the chance to ask them questions at the end to make sure that we understood everything. All the speakers were extremely kind and nice so if you had a question you wouldn't be afraid to ask it.
The days involved insight talks from professionals in different divisions in which we could network and gain further industry exposure. This was really important in understanding which division you enjoyed. We participated in interactive games with Amplify me trading such as IPO simulation, Quant simulation, market maker simulations and hedge fund simulations. We also gained further exposure to the culture present at Citi by understanding the different work they do to ensure positive social impact.

Each day we had a different speaker from a particular division of the firm come speak to us and give us and introduction to their side. In addition, we had 3 sessions with Amplify Trading which were really fun and got to learn a lot from them. Not only that, we had a fun social at the end of the first day to get to know others in the spring more and have fun!
Specifically an IBD spring intern but the 5 day generalist virtual spring week gave all spring interns and insight into all areas of the bank including Markets and Securities Services, Operations & Technology, TTS via different deep dive sessions with various professionals in the respective areas. Before having IBD specific sessions towards the end of the week. Day-day included panel sessions, Amplify trading simulations, an escape room, networking sessions and an assessment centre workshop.
Each day was packed full of talks in which we gained nuanced and recent insights into the various work that different divisions within Citi undertake. There was an opportunity in the majority of talks to ask questions to the speakers which was also incredibly useful. Also, there were various interactive sessions including Amplify Trading simulations which gave us the chance to meet other interns and operate in an environment of friendly competition.
1st day: presentations about Citi and the broader divisions (Citi networks, panel discussions), a social. 2nd day: snapshot presentations about Market and BCMA, Trading Simulation with AmplifyTrading 3rd day: snapshot presentations about O&T, TTS, Private Banking, IPO Simulation with AmplifyTrading, networking event 4th day: Deep dive into BCMA (Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Corporate Banking), case study. 5th day: Case study, Q&A panel, Assessment Center to convert into Summer Internship
Insight Week was virtual so we spent the days listening to talks from head of each department gaining an insight into the structure and functioning of Citi. Later in the week we gain a more focused insight into the department we applied for and learnt about recent deals and clients.
