    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They invested two whole days on us, and I felt this was really good. Helped us to explore the other divisions within the banks as well, like they had a simulated trading game, as well as a simulated client engagement activity to make us understand the different skill sets needed in each division.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was staying in London, so I was not reimbursed at all. But there were many interns from outside of London, and even from Continental Europe like Italy and France. All their expenses were paid for (accommodation and transportation) so RBS was very generous in this aspect. Even for the interview prior to be accepted into this Spring Week, they also paid for the expenses of those who flew in from outside the UK.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes, during the job shadowing, there were lots of opportunities to do so.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Great fun!

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Yes, during the job shadowing, the graduates also told us what are some of the activities they take part in after work.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Definitely! Really learned a lot from this Spring Week.
